Full Roof Replacement & Integrated Solar Installation

This was one of those projects where we were able to take care of everything, from replacing the roof to installing a complete solar PV and battery storage system.

Rather than simply fitting solar panels onto an existing roof, we carried out a full roof replacement and incorporated 20 AIKO Neostar 2S+ 465W solar panels directly into the roof using a GSE integrated in-roof mounting system.

With 10 panels installed on each side of the roof, the property now benefits from a 9.3 kWp solar array, connected to a 5 kW inverter and 10 kWh of battery storage.

The AIKO ABC N-Type, dual-glass, all-black panels provide a clean, modern appearance that works particularly well with the integrated roof design.

The result is more than just a new roof. It’s a complete renewable energy installation, carried out by me and Ryan from the initial site visit through to completion.

One thing we’re particularly proud of with this project is that we carried out the work ourselves.

From stripping the existing roof and preparing the new roofing structure to fitting the integrated solar panels and completing the electrical installation, the work was undertaken by me and Ryan.

We managed the project from the initial site visit through to completion, taking responsibility for both the roofing and electrical work.

It was a demanding job, and like most projects of this size, there were challenges along the way. But that’s part of the work, and we take pride in finding solutions and getting things finished properly.

The completed installation doesn’t just give the property a new roof. It also allows the homeowner to generate electricity from the sun and store energy for use when it’s needed.

By integrating the panels into the roof, we’ve created a neat finish while making practical use of the available roof space.

It’s a project we’re particularly proud of because it demonstrates the range of work we’re capable of undertaking ourselves.
